Setting Up Your SNMP Profiles

Before setting up the rest of the application to begin monitoring your network, your instance of the Komodo Eye should either be pre-configured with your SNMP profiles by Komodo’s team of network engineers, or you will need to manually load your SNMP profiles into the system using the following process:

1. Select the "Administration" menu

2. Select "Device SNMP Profiles" from the "Devices" sub-menu

3. Select "Add Profile"

4. One on the profile creation screen, input your SNMP profile name into the "Name" field.

5. Once you have input the profile name, select which version of SNMP is being used from the dropdown.

6. After selecting the version, input the "Community String" (i.e., the password) for the SNMP profile that you just created.

7. Select the "Save" button and your SNMP profile will be added to the list of profiles to the subnets that you wish to monitor with the Komodo Eye®. Repeat this process until all of your SNMP profiles have been added to the application.

Now that you have your SNMP Profiles, you can move forward with defining your device types (templates), network sites, upload/find devices, and create device probes and alarms.
