Traditional IT tools typically perform "shallow" monitoring (basic Internet Control Message Protocol [ICMP] pings and standard IT Simple Network Management Protocol [SNMP] polling) and stop at the network layer. Komodo Eye provides "wide" support (covering over 88,000 device models across 8,000 manufacturers) and "deep" multi-layer protocol inspection (including Transaction Language 1 [TL1], Modbus, TR-069/TR-369, Google Remote Procedure Call [gRPC], and legacy serial).
